CAMELOT

Secreted within fresh, pliant, concrete castle walls,

Mortar not yet aged two score, lives ancient

Scenes of galloping steeds whose gallant warriors

Pass imprisoned castled maidens waiting patiently.

She wistfully scans o’er distant groves the noble princes,

Yet not responding to any horseman’s  beckoning call

To climb astride his stead and dwell with him in Camelot,

Stays safely perched within her dreams alone in towered walls.

The distant sound of hoof beats, steady, strong, penetrates her

Dreams through windows closed against the evening chill.

How could her dreams of ancient tales envisioned surmise her Camelot

Awaited in his carriage parked right beneath her sill?

Her waxen dream wall softened in his strong welcoming arms

Instilling strength and happy comfort she never knew she sought

She melted in his smile’s warmth reflected in twinkling eyes,

Her diamoned hand with Princess wave signaling off to

CAMELOT

FROM GOD, WITH LOVE

From God, With Love

Far beyond the realms of space and ere the mists of time,

Comes the story of a loving mystery sublime.

God omniscient, eternal, ev’rywhere.

God creator, with love beyond compare.

Mighty Lord and King, unchanging, wise, and bold.

Holy Author of uncensored story told.

Questioned by His family about His character,

God gave evidence to keep the universe secure.

God the Father, with character maligned.

God all powerful, still always, only kind.

God misunderstood, desires for each to see

He so lovingly the universe kept free.

They blasphemed God’s character, distorting righteous laws.

Jesus lived and died on earth to demonstrate their flaws.

Holy Son of God, accused in Satan’s war.

Holy Son of Man, sin’s consequences bore.

Lord Immanuel, some choose to be your foe.

God in anguish cries, “How can I let you go?”

Doubt erects the barriers that evidence dispels;

Holy Messenger of God with man the story tells.

Holy Spirit, O sweet celestial Dove.

Holy Comforter, Love Teacher from above.

Holy Flame aglow, where error is discerned.

Holy Presence near assists as truth is learned.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost;

God immortal, three in one, our universal Host.

Gentle Father secures with loving bonds.

Holy Counselor, each healing mind responds.

Jesus Saviour lived out redemption’s plan;

Holy union with God and trusting man.

“Not as slave or servant, but as friend I call you Mine.”

I hear the call From God With Love and answer, “I am Thine.”

Thank you God of Light, Your answers prove you’re fair.

Thank-you God of Life, You keep us in Your care.

Thank-you God of Fire, Your zeal burns deep in us.

Thank-you Trinity, Your love bears healing trust.

TIMELESS

Timeless

The mantle clock conspires with ticks and tocks,

Resounding themes of rhythms beating

Out upon nerves' synapses

A haunting warrior's claim upon my 

LIFE.

It's then I call upon my heart and mind

"Seek the present moment, yet unspent".

Indulgence of heated warm thoughts bring

But a moment's worth of tick-tocks of

TIME.

Then I think with syncopated measure 

So nerves escape time's four-four banter,

And respond and teach greater wisdom

With much more joy than earned as slave to

RULER TIME.

I now know no such thing as TIme exists,

It but an imaginary scale 

To measure and divide life's sections.

But with what scale or weight to measure

LIFE?

My heart beats, "No" and "No" and "No" and "No

But to tock the ticks and tick the tocks

That divide play from work, work from play,

Nerves left stressed at end of day's endless 

TIME.

Mind and heart and soul scream, "No! No such thing!"

Love circles round and round ne'er stopping,

Symbols small enough to fit my hand

While great enough to tend Seasons of

MY HEART.

My timeless heart and mind now bring alive

Many moments that they steal from Time,

Bring them safely to me yet again,

Their inspiration wakes and warms my

HEART AND MIND.

Thoughts now merely writ on lit, man-made screen

Take wing through cyber space. Fly to him.

Hope arises deep within my breast,

Just one heart beat's space from yesterday's

                DREAM.
